There was report in TOI about shortage of officers in Haryana FDA against the sanctioned strength of 45 there were only 5 officers and after the report 22 new officers were appointed the question is are they sufficient and are acting in a pro active way and checking establishment for food safety , there was a high end establishment where a worm was found in the food and then some report even though the establishment one would say has the best Italian and yes there could be oversights but if you see these food establishments lots of them on first sight are operated with most unhygienic conditions and yet there are simply no checks whatsoever there should be atleast basic checking as it is serious matter of public health .
