NH-48 a single stretch of 44 km of the road accounted for 247 accidents in 2024 resulting in 150 fatalities; in 2025, accidents decreased to 233 with 127 fatalities.
Its mind boggling the number of fatalities on this small stretch of road cutting across Gurugram and yet there is no urgency or serious steps taken to stop the accidents and fatalities and the solutions are there only need to be implemented with seriousness. August 2026
Flooded roads, rainwater drains clogged with sewage and trash and add to that a massive sinkhole .
The state of Gurugram roads during monsoons and much is written about it each year some measures but simply not enough and this year the image of school buses trapped in water says it all .
