Gurugram: Who is checking the high-speed racers?

High-end cars and superbikes racing across Gurugram’s roads, sometimes around 1–2 AM, and roaring engines echoing through residential areas late at night. Golf Course Road residents are left wondering: Will there ever be any suo motu action?

The violations are serious:

  • Dangerous and rash driving
  • Overspeeding and endangering lives
  • Drunk driving, where applicable
  • Modified silencers and excessive noise
  • Public nuisance and noise pollution

Despite serious accidents, some drivers and riders seem undeterred, apparently confident they can get away with it. The problem is even worse on weekends.

The real question is: Who is monitoring these roads, enforcing the law, and holding these offenders accountable?

Public roads are not private racetracks. How many more accidents before authorities act?
